Having retired from private practice as a solicitor on 31 August 2017, I no longer hold a current practising certificate from the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and I am not regulated by the SRA or by any other body. Mediation is an unregulated activity which I undertake on my own account (not in my capacity as a former partner in Gordon Dadds, with which firm I no longer have any connection).
As a mediator who is registered with the Civil Mediation Council (CMC), I have agreed to adhere to the European Code of Conduct for Mediators.
I have professional indemnity insurance for mediation with Hiscox Underwriting Limited under policy OXY975026.
I hope that you will not have any cause to complain about my service or conduct, but if you do please raise it with me within 28 days by email to email@example.com or by post to 3 Dalkeith Court, 45 Vincent Street, Westminster, London SW1P 4HH. I undertake to deal with your complaint within fourteen days of receiving it. If you are not satisfied with the way in which I have handled your complaint, the CMC has a Complaints Resolution Service: http://www.civilmediation.org/governance/13/complaints-resolution-service.
Please note that a referral to the CMC service must be made within one month of conclusion of consideration of the complaint by the mediator or provider and in any event within six months of the events giving rise to the complaint. Complaints received outside these time limits will only be accepted at the discretion of the CMC.
If your complaint relates to an appointment made via Clerksroom, please address any complaint in the first instance to Lisa Rodger, Clerksroom’s Mediation Manager: Lisa Rodger, Clerksroom, Equity House, Blackbrook Park Avenue, Taunton, Somerset TA1 2RA. DX: 97188 Taunton Blackbrook. Tel: 0845 083 3000 Email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
